Ms Fatyela works for the National Department of Public Works as the acting head of Policy, Regulation and Research branch and as a Chief Direct: Strategic Management. Her responsibilities include strategic management, regulation of the property and constructions sectors and development policies, managing the process towards the development of legislation and policies, conducting research and drafting policies, guidelines and regulations for the construction and property sectors.
Ms Fatyela has more than 20 years experience in the public service. She has worked as an acting Director General for the department and as a Chief Director. Her previous work includes consulting for the UNDP, being a Director for the Centre for Rural Legal Studies, National Coordinator for the Independent Development Trust and later a Director responsible for strategic management.
