He has 19 years’ experience in the public sector (national and provincial) as both a senior manager and an independent consultant, with a sound understanding of policy and management challenges in the public sector in a developing context. As an independent consultant, he has performed assignments for a range of clients in the public and development sector – focusing on project planning and management, policy development, and training and development.
Previously Chief of Staff in the Presidency, supporting the Minster in the Presidency by tracking strategic management and project and programme implementation for the Presidency, the Government Communication and Information System, and related institutions. Before working in the Presidency, he was National Information Manager for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Has worked widely in Africa, including Burundi, Mali, Rwanda, Southern Sudan and Zambia.
