Director – Directorate of Socio-Economic Monitoring and Research Office of the President
Highest Qualification: MBA in International Banking and Finance, University of Birmingham, UK.
Mr. Tumusiime is responsible for the provision of Leadership to the Directorate and to provide Socio-economic advice to the political leadership. He is also responsible for the formulation, planning and design of annual activities including activities leading to independent oversight monitoring and evaluation of implementation of Key Government Policies, Programs and Projects, manage activity budgets, responsible for the execution of performance targets as projected, providing technical support to the Minister of State in the Office of the President responsible for Economic Monitoring.
Prior to his current position, he was the General Manager and Chief Business Officer at Global Trust Bank (Uganda) and had served as a Chief Operations Manager at Centenary Bank a leading Micro-finance Commercial Bank in Uganda where he was responsible for the growth of the Bank Assets and Liabilities as well as networks expansion and overall business performance targets head respectively.
Mr. Tumusiime find the MPhil in Development Policy and Practice ideal to gain knowledge and expertise on how to undertake applied research in public policy and use evidence in reporting.
