Nebila Abdulmelik is a pan-Africanist and a feminist passionate about social justice. Born and bred in Addis Ababa, she has had the opportunity of studying, living, working and traveling to over 30 countries across the globe. She had previously worked with FEMNET, one of the largest and oldest pan-African women's rights organizations as well as with the African Union with the African Governance Architecture (AGA) Secretariat and has amassed experience in women's rights, knowledge management, communications and democratic governance amongst others. She is currently pursuing her creative passions including photography, poetry and creative writing. She is increasingly interested in documenting and storytelling - for posterity.
