Saadatu Hamu is a youth advocate and Lead Counsel at Terra Firma Partners a multidisciplinary law firm, proving legal insights and business solutions to the private and public sector. Her practice is focused on Corporate Commercial transactions and the intersection of policy and regulatory developments on business. With an in depth understanding of the Nigerian legal system she has advised clients locally and internationally on; intellectual property, banking, project finance and asset acquisitions. She is known for providing value driven, result oriented advice to Clients, and has been recognized by This Day Law in 2016 as an Associate lawyer to watch out for. She obtained her L.LB in Public International Law from the University of Abuja, and as a student, she chaired the student committee that established the University of Abuja Law Clinic, which until now, has provided pro-bono legal support to over 500 to people in the University community and its environs. Most recently she served as the curator of the Abuja Hub of the Global Shapers Community – which is an initiative of the World Economic Forum and one of the 452 networks of hubs around the world comprised of diverse young people under 30 years, who are exceptional in their potential, their achievement, and their drive to make positive contribution in their communities. In recognition of her to contribution to nation building and public impact at an early stage, she was selected as one of the 2016 Associate Fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI). Saadatu has keen interest in public policy, with a knack for bridging Law, policy and politics to achieve maximum impact and result. Saadatu is also a frequent contributor on fora’s in achieving policy framework for the benefit of all Nigerians. Saadatu excellently delivers her contributions to the society on law, politics, policy and development without lines being blurred.
